Powder House Pass is one of the newer communities in the hills above Deadwood and Lead, and new construction brings a particular problem: the houses exist before the maps catch up. A dropped pin lands on the wrong part of the loop. A rideshare driver decides the road does not go through and cancels. Guests end up standing outside a house they cannot describe well enough for anyone to find.
We know the Pass and we know where the numbers actually run. Give us the address and we will be at the right door.
When the whole house is going into town
What gets rented up here sleeps a group, not a couple, and groups move together. The clubhouse keeps everyone in one place during the day, and then at six in the evening the entire house wants to be in Deadwood, and at midnight the entire house wants to come back. That is a different job from a single pickup, and it goes far better booked a day ahead than negotiated on the pavement at closing time.

Two miles from Terry Peak, right at the trail
The Pass sits by the entrance to Deer Mountain Road, with Terry Peak roughly two miles off. That makes it an easy base and an awkward one. Everything is close, and nothing is close enough to walk in ski boots. Northern Hills Taxi runs the morning hop up to Terry Peak and collects you in the afternoon. The Deer Mountain lifts seldom run, so the road past the Pass is mostly cabins and trail access now.
The same applies to the trails. If you are riding ATVs in summer or snowmobiles in winter, and the day ends somewhere other than where it started, Northern Hills Taxi will collect you. Tell us the trailhead when you book.
Airport runs for a full house
Most people fly into Rapid City Regional (RAP). When a group arrives on several flights across one afternoon, send the flight numbers rather than the times. Flights move.
